    Emita River was born on Ailuk atoll in the Marshall Islands. In 2005, she moved to Hawaii by plane to attend school. She had to learn English and make new friends as everything was new to her. She met new family members and attended several schools on the Big Island, including Kahakai Elementary, Kealakehe Elementary, Naalehu Elementary, Konawaena Middle, and Kealakehe High School. Her favorite sports became volleyball and softball in middle school. On May 30, 2013, she had a baby girl named Rosemita. Now as a senior, her goal is to graduate by working hard in all of her classes.

    LIFE

    MY BIRTH PLACE
    I was born on Ailuk atoll, is a
    island on the Marshall Islands.
    This picture shows when I went
    on a small ship to go to Majuro
    the capital of the Marshall,
    Islands.

    WHEN ARRIVED ON HAWAII


    In 2005 I was on a plane to
    come to the Big Island.

    LEARNING NEW LANGUAGE


    When I came every thing was
    new for me because I had to
    learn a new language which is
    English and I had to make new
    friends.

    MEETING NEW PEOPLE


    I meet new friends and family
    members I didnt know about.

    SCHOOLS I ATTEND
    The first school I attended was
    Kahakai Elementary. During the
    3rd grade I moved to Kealakehe
    Elementary. Then In the 4th grade
    I went Naalehu Elementary. After
    that I moved to Konawaena
    Middle and last but not least I
    moved to Kealakehe High School.

    FAVORITE SPORTS
    Volleyball and softball
    became my favorite sports since
    middle school.

    WHEN I HAD MY BABY


    On May 30, 2013 I had my
    baby Girl named Rosemita !

    THINGS I ENJOY DOING


    Going outdoors and spending
    time with family and friends,
    especially my baby, are some of
    the things I enjoy doing.

    MY GOALS
    Now I am a senior and I am
    really trying my best to graduate
    by working hard in all my classes.
