recordings,thekidswillhaves
omethingtofollowalongto(andusetheirsenseof

fullyactive
throughouttheactivity.Also,theactionofusinga

5.DesignBrief

ThroughoutmyresearchIlearnedthateventhoughQRcodesareverywidelyused
nowadays,thetechnologyisnotinvestedinearlyreaders.Ialsolearnedrulesandtipsto
takeintoconsiderationwhilemakingmyproduct.Thelittleonesarentveryfamiliarwithit,
butlovetheideaofmyproject,whichisaddingaQRcodeprinttoeverypageofan
easytoreadbook.Whenscanned,theQRcodewillopenavoicenarrationofthatpage,
donebychildthatreadsatthatlevel.Inthiscase,Illusealevel1book,somyintended
userswillbeearlyreaders,gradesELCtoGrade3,especiallykindergarten,whichisthe
yearthatthestudentsbegintolearnhowtoread,andmostofthemare57yearsold.
Thisiswhythenarratorofthebookwillbea6yearsold.Apartfromtheearlyreaders,my
projectisalsointendedforteachersandparentswhowishtohelptheirchildrentolearn
howtoread.Thepurposeofmyprojectistopromotereadingasafunactivitysothat

earlyreaderspractisetheskillandimprovetheirabilities.Havingavoicereadingthe
samewordsthatareinfrontofthemisverybeneficialformanychildrenasitappealsto
theirsensesscanningtheQRcodeisverydifferentfromwhattheyreusedto,soitgrabs
theirattention,aswellmakesthemcuriousandentertainedandhavingakidtheirage
readthebookgivesthemsomethingtorelateto.Thisbenefitsthemastheywillthensee
readingasafunactivityandgiveittheirfullattention.
