    causetwounrelatedresults,butthatisnotnecessarilytrue.Althoughthesetwoeventsare
    verydifferentfromeachother,theireconomicoutcomescanpotentiallybesimilarbecause
    theycouldresultinalowerstandardoflivingandGDP.
    Theresultsoftheseeventsarealikebecausetheywillbothlowerthestandardofliving
    ofthecountrythatwaseffected.AsindicatedinthearticleChina:CheapLabourisBecoming
    Scarce,avastreductionintheavailabilityoflowcostlaborisalreadyarealityinChina.This
    smallerjobmarketiscausingtheyoungergenerationinChinatohavetroublefindingjobs.If

    workingagepopulationdecreasedbythreemillion.Iftherearenotasmanypeopleinthe
    workforceinChina,theGDPpercapitacouldlowerbecausenotasmanyfamiliesare
    receivingincomefromworking.ThewaythatthedestructionofthecityinHiroshimacould
    lowertheGDPisbecausethecitynolongercontainstheresourcesnecessarytomake
    productstoexport.Thetransportationsystemsandfactorieswerecompletelydestroyed,
    makingitimpossibletomanufactureitemsfordistribution.TheGDPwillbeaffectedsinceitis
    partiallybasedoffoftheexportsofacountry.
    Thereareparallelsbetweenmanythingsthathappenaroundtheworld.Theatomic
    bombingofHiroshimaandtheamountofjobsinlabordecreasinginChinabothhavethe
    potentialtoaffectthestandardoflivingandGDPofthecountry.Despitethevastdifferences
    betweentwoevents,itispossibleforthemtohavecorrespondingoutcomes.
