UPDATES & DISCUSSION:
MINUTES: Nancy presented minutes from the Oct. 23, 2014 meeting which was approved at 5:39 pm. by
Ryan, with Kristen seconding the motion.
TREASURER UPDATE: See separate sheet that was handed out.
We should get more money through box tops then projected.
We can do up to three Dominoes events.
There is a possibility of a Twins fundraiser.
Should we keep doing Art Adventure? The Minneapolis Are Institute charges $200 for this event; is
this an expense we can get rid of? We wont need to spend the additional money on supplies like we
have in the past since we can do the events in the art room. We will keep it.
Assignment: Carin will have a conversation with Lindsey on Jan 7th at the Art adventure
meeting and also email her.
Stephanie (AE) is going to school for grant writing. She was interested in helping support grant writing
for the PTA.
Assignment: Nancy Marks-Becker will follow up with Stephanie to see if she is still interested.

We received $3,000 from VINA to pay stipends for the after school programs.
There are some families who have paid money for Archery and others who havent. We have received
$105 and some parents have been told to pay nothing.
Assignment: Ryan Gibbs will clear up with Jose about what families were suppose to pay for
Archery.
Email Rebecca Gagnon: we want community ed. at Loring. That would drastically change the way that
we run after school.

BY LAWS: MN PTA had items that needed to be added to our By-Laws. The updated version was sent out by
Nancy. Updated by-laws were approved by Leah, seconded by Ryan. Nancy will send the updated By-Laws
back to MN PTA again for their approval.
