Our team created a water filter using coffee creamers by cutting out the bottom of the creamer containers and inserting them inside, adding 6 layers of filtration material. The filter removes large contaminants from dirty water but does not completely purify it or eliminate all pathogens like boiling would.

Introduction
In our recycling project, our team collaborated and decided to make
a water filter out of the given coffee creamers.
How It Works!
First we measure the circumference of the coffee creamer on the
bottom of the cup. Next, we carefully cut the circle out. We then insert said coffee creamer inside the cup, making sure it fits tight. After that, we insert a unique, intricate system devised of 6 layers of filtration.
Our Idea was to make dirty water, cleaner!
Conclusion
Although it doesnt completely purify the water, it does filter large
contaminants, which is a large part in the purification process. This filtration process does not completely eliminate all water contaminants. As in, it does not remove all water-born pathogens, that a water-boiling process would.
