Your Question:
What would happen to the color of the gummy bear if we put a gummy bear in Coke and Fanta.These have
to be clear gummy bears.
Background Information:
Coke has a lot of different solutes, so it may be harder to go in the gummy bear.Coke also has a black colour
so it may seep into the gummy bear.Fanta also has different solutes but it doesnt have color so we may not
notice.
Hypothesis:
The colour will change in Coke but the gummy bear will grow faster in water.

Observations of gummy bears

Monday, 15 December

The gummy bear swelled about 8g each. The coke gummies are black and the fanta gummies are pale
yellow.These gummies are really easy to break and the water one exploded.

Normal Water 11th of october water.

Conclusions
Based on our observation our group thinks
The normal water has made the raisins hypertonic and there was lower water level in the cup. The raisins in
the cup with sugar
re less
hypertonic then the raisins in the water without the sugar and also there was more sugar in the water with
more sugar and there was less sugar in the raisins. In the other cup the one that we did not put sugar in there
was more sugar in the raisins and the level of the water went lower.
