5.2. DST4 tester power on flow


5.2.1 Press Space bar 3 times upon encountering Figure 1 below.
5.2.2 Press Y upon encountering figure 2 below. Then Follow DST4 Program Loading
Procedure on the succeeding instructions.

5.3. DST4 Program Loading Procedure


5.3.1 The main DST4 menu with latest revision will appear. From this menu choose RUN
TEST pROGRAM using the up/down arrow keys and hit <enter>.

5.3.2 Enter the correct production Test Program Name, i.e.R7181AI, and hit <enter>.

5.3.3 From the next menu choose pRODUCTION TEST for Final Test or qA TEST for
QA gate using the up/down arrow keys and hit <enter>.

5.3.4 For the first Production Run sequence you must choose dUAL SITE - for dual site ITA
board or sINGLE SITE -for single site ITA board from the menu option, using the
up/down arrow keys and hit <enter>.

5.3.5 Next, you must select HALT ON fAIL from the next menu option.

5.3.6 Next, enter the dash number marked on the device packages/ listed on Test LTC you
are testing, i.e. 38.

5.3.7 Next, enter the Lot Number as listed on the device package/ Test LTC.

5.3.8 Next, enter the re-test number, 0 is for 1st pass and 1 is for the re-test of failures.

5.3.10 Next, select the correct Temperature from the menu as indicated on Test LTC. Make
sure that the thermocouple temperature reading is 75C when testing at Hot Temperature.
Thermocouple should not be attached when Testing Room Temperature and Cold
Temperature

Note : PLEASE SEE Section 5.4 for Details.

5.3.11 Enter DUT number for socket but please make sure that the DUT number for the two
socket is not the same and if you choose SINGLE TEST for item 4.4 only one socket
number to be ask.(Ex.DUT#1 - 0 and DUT#2 - 1)

5.3.12 You will now be asked to verify the information you entered, which is displayed on the
screen. If all the information is correct then enter Y.

5.3.13 If the information is not correct then do the following: enter N and using the up/down
arrow keys select the data field that needs to be changed. Hit <enter> and update it
accordingly. Hit the <enter> button to confirm the change. To leave this menu and start
testing hit the <ESC> key.

5.3.14 Next, you will be prompted to start testing.


5.3.15 Load the device to be Re-tested into the left-hand socket only.

5.3.16 Make sure the device is oriented correctly: device marking is upside down in reference
to the front of the tester, as shown below.

5.3.17 Begin testing by either depressing the space bar, or the test button on the front panel of
the DST4 tester.

PASS/FAIL Observations:
FAIL

When the testing completes and the screen shows FAIL, and the red LED on the front of the DST4 ITA
is illuminated, hit the re-test button on the front of the DST4 tester, or hit r on the keyboard, to re-test
the device. Only do this once. If the screen shows FAIL, and the red LED on the front of the DST4 ITA
is illuminated again, remove the device from the left-hand socket and place it in the bin for all failing
devices.
After Test, separate REJECT parts with a red sticker /clip tray with proper label as rejects.

PASS

When the testing completes and the screen shows PASS, and the green LED is illumated, put the
device from the left-hand socket in the bin for all passing devices.
After Test, separate GOOD from REJECT parts with a green sticker / clip tray and properly label
as BIN1.

5.4. R7181 test flow and conditions:


5.4.1 HOT TESTING
5.4.1.1 E/L TEST 2 (QS02-043)
- Handler/ Temp : Manual / 75 +/-3 deg C
- Good Bin : Bin 1
- Tester/ Test Program : DST4 / Refer to LTC
- Yield and O/S Limit : Refer to LTC
- 1x Mandatory Retest : If Final Test Yield is not met
- Rejects Requirements : Scrap rejects if PASSED yield requirements

Oven Heating Procedure


5.4.1.1.1 Place the units to be tested inside the oven.
5.4.1.1.2 Set the Oven at 75 deg C +/- 3.0
5.4.1.1.3 After 30 minutes, get 1 tray of units and place it above a Hot Plate preset at
75 +/- 3 deg C.
5.4.1.1.4 Start Testing.
Note : Get only 1 tray from the oven at a time to prevent sudden cool down Of units.

5.4.1.2 E/L TEST 3 (QS02-043) HOT TESTING CONDITION


- Handler/ Temp : Manual / 75 +/-3 deg C
- Good Bin : Bin 1
- Tester/ Test Program : DST4 / Refer to LTC
- Yield and O/S Limit : Refer to LTC
- 1x Mandatory Retest : If Final Test Yield is not met
- Rejects Requirements : Scrap rejects if PASSED yield requirements

5.4.2 COLD TESTING


5.4.2.1 Freezer Cooling Procedure
5.4.2.1.1 Place the units to be tested inside the freezer.
5.4.2.1.2 Preset the freezer at - 6 deg C +/- 3.0
5.4.2.1.3 After 45 minutes, get units to be tested and place it on the socket.
5.4.2.1.4 Start Testing. Testing should commence within the span of 1 minute.
Note :Get only units to be tested from the freezer at a time to maintain unit temperature. No
RETEST should be done. Failed units should be put back to freezer for Cooling prior
retest.

5.4.2.2 E/L TEST 4 (QS02-043) COLD TESTING CONDITION


- Handler/ Temp : Manual / 0 +/- 3 deg C
- Good Bin : Bin 1
- Tester/ Test Program : DST4 / Refer to LTC
- Yield and O/S Limit : Refer to LTC
- 1x Mandatory Retest : If Final Test Yield is not met
- Rejects Requirements : Scrap rejects if PASSED yield requirements

5.4.3 AMBIENT / ROOM TESTING


5.4.3.11 Place the units for test on Room Temperature condition and start Testing.
5.4.3.2 E/L TEST 4 (QS02-043) AMBIENT / ROOM CONDITION
- Handler/ Temp : Manual / ROOM
- Good Bin : Bin 1
- Tester/ Test Program : DST4 / Refer to LTC
- Yield and O/S Limit : Refer to LTC
- 1x Mandatory Retest : If Final Test Yield is not met
- Rejects Requirements : Scrap rejects if PASSED yield requirements
Note :Change the Unit / DUT upon encountering 2X failures, Put the failed parts to Reject tray
for retest if yield requirement is not met.

5.5 DST4 Operations


5.5.1 With Switch Sensor

5.5.1.1 To start testing using the sensor, Place the thumb on the top slot shown on the Above
Figure labeled A) Motion Sensor for Test.
5.5.1.2 To perform a retest , Place the thumb on the bottom slot shown on the above Figure
labeled B) Motion Sensor to Re-Test.

5.5.2 Without Switch Sensor


5.5.2.1 Set the Omniview to the corresponding DST4 slot Number in reference to the
Connection at the back of the Omniview. Please see below figures.
