LOCAL MEDICAL TEAMS INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER DOCTOR CALLING


IN LIVE FROM THE DISASTER ZONE IN HAITI at 2:00p.m. PST, Friday, January 22

IMPORTANT NOTE: Media interested in dialing in to hear Dr. Tom Hoggard (volunteer for
Medical Teams International) report on his work in Haiti and to ask questions, please call 1-866-
740-1748, PIN #: 1402, at exactly 2:00 p.m. PST, today, Friday, January 22. Dr. Hoggard will
briefly describe the scene from his perspective and then take questions for approximately 15-20
minutes.

Dr. Tom Hoggard of Portland, Ore., is a family physician at Gresham Troutdale Medical Center.
This Haiti disaster relief team is his 16th mission with Medical Teams International. His first team
was in 1992 to Somalia. He also served with us in the relief campaign for Hurricane Katrina. Dr.
Hoggard is a past president of the Oregon Medical Association, and he was the 2003 Oregon Family
Physician of the Year.
