Information on applications for grants

given to Fellows of the Institute for Advanced Studies on Science, Technology and Society, Graz-Austria
(IAS-STS), as a contribution towards subsistence costs during their stay at the IAS-STS.

General
The IAS-STS gives partial and full grants to Fellows who are not able to pay for their living expenses
themselves during their stay at the Institute. Grants amount to a maximum of EUR 1,000. per month.
Mode of payment
In principle, grants can be remitted only to an account at an Austrian bank. In Austria all income is subject to
tax; this also applies to grants. The recipients of a grant are obliged to take sole responsibility for filing any tax
return necessary for the amount received.
