Responses are texted to the number 37607 with a message looking like this 155610 Today I learned______. Responses are anonymously sent to my poll which I can view and evaluate their responses. Answer the following questions: 1. Do I know how to use the technology tool(s) that will be used by my students? Yes 2. What technology skills do my students already have that are needed for this lesson? They know how to text 3. What technology skills will they need to learn to complete this lesson successfully? They will need to understand how to correctly format a text 4. What is the appropriate setting for this lesson (classroom, lab, library, home)? Is this setting available for my students to use? Classroom. Yes. 5. What tools and resources will I need? (List of all Web sites, specific software and hardware, and other needs.) I will need a computer/access to the internet, to view their comments. I will need the website Poll Everywhere, and a whiteboard to write down the number to text and how to format the text. 6. How much time do I need to allow for this lesson? 5 minutes. 7. Who can help me with the planning and/or implementation of this lesson? None is required. 8. How will I assess the students learning? I will assess the students learning by how many responses I get. Ideally, there will be 1820, meaning every student successfully sent a comment to me. I will also assess their learning by their responses.
