1) Let Mr. Perkins lead kids through bellringer quote


and introduction.
2) Introduce myself.

-What is the purpose of an outline? Why bother
making one?
*Pass out graphic organizer that students can use
and follow along with. This is a template of how an
outline should be formatted.

*Walk through the outline process with the students.
Go step by step. First model for them what I do
when creating an outline, then walk through a
guided practice with students allowing for the class
to help shape other papers. Finally, in the remaining
time, allow students to work independently, with me
available to help students as they need it.

Formative assessment: Students will turn in a sheet


of paper to Darth Vader answer 3 questions: 1) what
did you learn today, 2) what did I do well today
teaching your class, and 3) What can I do better in
the future.
Homework is to finish their outline, to be turned in to
Mr. Perkins.
