To face the monster with the scope in white
Like a patient etherized upon a table;
Im here to get my flu-shot but I dont know if Ill be able
The thumps of my heart beat
Maybe its tachycardiamy head heats
Of restless thoughts sitting in the cerulean room
And the boo and bawl of babies getting their shots of whoop
I think to myself.that would be me too

Inhale steadily, exhale gradually, my father pleads

As bullets fall from my eyes in heaps
To lead you to an overwhelming question
Oh, do not say, Which hand is your dominant?
Let us go and get it over with.

In the room the patients come and go
