Dear GWA Parents and Guardians,

As a part of our Unit on How the World Works and Sharing the Planet, we are planning to go to Arabian
Wildlife Centre to connect our learning in the classroom with the world around us. The trip is expected to
help the students develop a better understanding of the concepts including:
How do lifecycles work?
How does the environment determine the survival of living things?
How are different lifecycles connected?
How do humans take care of living things and their needs?
How do our choices impact the planet?
Students will be exploring different habitats and observe animals indigenous to the UAE and consider how
they have adapted to the environment that they live in. Within the animal farm and botanical museum
students will have the opportunity to inquire into the form and function of various life cycles.

Please note that there is no personal GWA medical/emergency insurance for students on any school
excursions off campus. Parents should procure personal medical/emergency coverage for their child(ren)
while living in the UAE.
