I would like to provide a letter of reference for Ms. LaToyia Garner. LaToyia attends Cape
Fear Community College and is enrolled in the Business Administration program at the North
campus.
I first met LaToyia who was a student in my Business Ethics (BUS-240) course in the Fall
2014 semester. At the start of the semester it was apparent LaToyia was a self-starter and
was a role model for many of the other students. She continued to gain confidence through
participation and contributions made during group work, classroom discussions and individual
assignments. Her ability to grasp and apply the various business ethics models and theories
grew throughout the semester. In addition I had her in my OMT-156 Problem Solving and
MKT-223 Customer Service classes in which she demonstrated her ability to be
knowledgeable in various business topics. She is also well liked by her fellow classmates and
other instructors & staff at CFCC.
LaToyia continues to be successful at CFCC and excels with her studies. She also holds the
title of Vice President for the Business Technologies Club (BTC) which is a student run club
on campus. She also handles several other roles in the BTC when others cannot fulfil. In
addition, she works in the learning lab and is a tutor for other students.
LaToyia is always personable and friendly when I encounter her on campus. She is a
dedicated student, who juggles many responsibilities in order to balance her work and
academic obligations and responsibilities. She possesses good communication and critical
thinking skills in her studies as well. She is also a great team player.
Therefore, I strongly recommend LaToyia for any employment position she is qualified for and
believe she will make an excellent employee and an asset to the organization.
