Course Description
This course is a sophomore Geometry class. Geometry is a part of math that deals that deals with
properties of shapes, measurements, and relationships of points, lines angles and objects. In this
course students will be exposed to the Cambridge content, which the content will be more
difficult and more beneficial for the students.

Late Work
All assignments are to be submitted the day after the work was assigned. However, students can
still submit the assignments on the day of the Unit Test and still receive full credit. The day of the
Unit Test will be the last day the students could receive full credit on their assignments they
received during the given Unit. Any assignments submitted after the last day will be given 50%
credit.

Absences
Students are responsible for any missing assignments they missed during their absence in the
class. Students are highly recommended to attend tutoring if they missed at least one day of
class. Students will be given the same amount of days to complete the missing assignments as
the days they were absent from the class.
Grade Scale
90% - 100% = A
80% - 89% = B
70% - 79% = C
60% - 69% = D
59% or Below = F
The grade for the students will be part of many assignments, tests, projects, and quizzes
throughout the school year. Grades will be updated every week in order for the students and
parents to know how they are performing in the classroom. Students and parents can check the
grades in phoenixunion.org under the studentvue and parentvue.

If inappropriate behavior occurs I will handle it in an appropriate manner and student
consequences will follow. Please read the Student Handbook.
