Assignment Minor Innovation & Leadership

For the leadership part of the minor Innovation & Leadership a portfolio will be
developed that contains a business model YOU canvas. The key focus in
developing Business Model YOU is from a perspective of a consultant role.
Becoming a real valuable business model canvas specialist includes mastering
consulting skills.
In this framework the following assignment needs to be completed before march
23:
Interview with a consultant
Individually or in pairs (group of 2 students) you will identify a consultant,
preferably two consultants in your own network, or (if not) find a consultant in a
business environment . You will interview this consultant in order to identify the
main skills to become a successful consultant. The interview can be face to face,
but also through skype contact or other online contact. The consultant could be a
business consultant, but also a HRM - or IT consultant etc. The context of the role
is less important, then the consultants role itself.
You will at least address the following questions:

What are the main tasks of the consultants jobs?


What kind of experience and knowledge is required to perform the job
successfully according to the consultant?
What kind of skills are required to be successful as a consultant?
Which value proposition is the consultant offering to it s customers?
Which kind of pains does the consultant relieve for its customers?
What kind of gains does the consultant achieve for his/her customers?
Can the consultant elaborate on one success story and identify the success
factors for case?
Can the consultant elaborated on a case that failed and explore/explain
the reasons for that?

I expect you to make a report of your interview and send that to me
