This article allows the reader to track feelings such as pain and
humiliation throughout the novel. Being incredibly
straightforward, the author depicts humiliation in this novel to be
plentiful. At one point or the other, the characters in this novel
experience these feelings in the extreme and Desai executes the
feelings of these characters perfectly.

The Inheritance of Loss is as popular as it is today because of the

heartfelt stories. Though the overall story might not be relatable,
but the themes of pain and humiliation offer a kind of sympathy
to the characters in the novel because those specific feelings are
incredibly relatable.
