This document describes a geometry game called Pizza Bake Off that teaches shape recognition. Players take turns rolling dice to determine which shape and number to place on one of 20 pizzas, with the goal of being the first to fill 5 pizzas. Players roll a shape die and number die, then place that number of the rolled shape onto any pizza space allowing it. The first player to place the 10th topping on a pizza claims that pizza.

Kindergarten Geometry K.G.A.2: Correctly name shapes regardless of their orientations or overall size. 1-4 players Materials: Pizza boards 2 dice: 1 with shapes (circle, square, triangle, rectangle, diamond, and trapezoid), 1 with numbers 1-6. Multiple pieces of each shape in various sizes Object of the game: Fill each Pizza with the appropriate shapes (each pizza has 10 shapes). Be the first player to obtain 5 pizzas Rules: Lay out all 20 pizzas as well as each bag of toppings Roll both dice. The player may place the rolled number of their rolled shape onto any pizza where there is an appropriate spot. For example, if player 1 rolls a 3 and a triangle, they must put 3 triangles on any of the pizzas with a designated triangle spot. The shapes may be split up onto multiple different pizzas. If there are no possible moves you may not complete your move and it becomes the next players turn. (I.e. If there are only 2 available circle topping spots within all pizzas still in play and you rolled 3 circles you cannot place your third shape.) If a player is the one to place the 10th topping on a pizza, they take that pizza. The first player to obtain 5 pizzas wins. This game idea was inspired by the pizza toss game http://www.education.com/activity/article/pizza-toss/
