My paper dissertation will be entitled Institution of citizenship in the Romanian

constitutional system.
In the first chapter I will provide a legal perspective on the notion of citizenship and I will talk
about the conceptual delineations of citizenship, citizen, nationality, nation.
Then I will continue with very important issues about the legal regulation of Romanian
citizenship and about the general principles applicable of Romanian citizenship and also about
the diplomatic protection.
I will end the first chapter with a brief overview of the National Citizenship Authority (NCA),
the institution which provides the institutional and technical framework to implement legal
provisions regarding citizenship.
In the second chapter I will identify the conditions for acquiring, retention and loss of
Romanian citizenship.
Furthermore, when I will talk about acquiring Romanian citizenship, I will mention about:
birth, adoption, granting the request, repatriation, citizenship of the child found in Romania,
and procedure of granting Romanian citizenship.
Regarding the loss of citizenship, I will emphasize the following: withdrawal, approval giving
up Romanian citizenship, statelessness, extradition, regulation of dual citizenship in Romania.
Besides, I will talk about the proof of Romanian citizenship and the honorary Citizenship.
My case study will be a comparative study on the citizenship and the military personnel
condition in Romania and Poland, based on the the following normative acts:
Romanian citizenship law (Law no. 21/1991 republished in the Official Gazette no. 576 of 13
August 2010), Constitution of Romania, amended and completed by the Law Review of
Constitution no. 429/2003, republished by the Legislative Council and the Law no. 80/1995
on the status of the military personnel, updated in 2014 (Romania) and Czech citizenship
status.
