Description of artifact and how the artifact meets the standard:
As an educator it is important to demonstrate the ability to enhance academic performance and
support for implementation of the school districts student achievement goals by providing
substantive, timely, and constructive feedback to students and parents.
I chose to use an "Individual Child Report to show how evidence of student learning and growth are
shared with families. The report is given to parents at conferences and discussed with the teacher.
Reflection on artifact (what went right, what went wrong, how to make better):
The Individual Child Report is a very good source of evidence showing student learning and growth
to parents. It summarizes the GOLD assessment used in the classroom. It shares with the parents
how their child is doing in all learning areas, what their strengths are, and what areas need
improvement. This helps us to make goals for their childs learning.
