ECONOMIC CRISIS
The economic crisis was a stage in the 18 th century
where France fell into a huge debt. King Louis XIV and
Louis XVI had selfishly invested large amounts of
money into things such as the American revolution. In
an attempt to regain their money, the king raised the
taxes, however he only applied them to the third
class. The third class was very unhappy with this and
their aggravation led them to up rise against the king.
The economic crisis was the fourth most important
because when the country fell into debt they called
the other generals and tried to figure out a way so
they wouldnt go into bankruptcy.
POLITICAL CRISIS
The political crises was a time when the
peasants relised that the higher class people
were in control of what resources people did
and didnt have. They thought they needed
to make a change because they didnt like
the life they were living. The political crisis
was the second least important because the
third estate was just stating to realize that
the higher class people had more power then
the third estate.
ESTATES GENERAL
Estates General is the legislative body in
the Netherlands from the 15th to 18th
centuries, and in France until 1789,
representing the three estates of the realm
(i.e. the clergy, the nobility, and the
commons). Estates-General, also called
States General, in France of the preRevolutionary monarchy. This was the least
important because they attempted to work
together as a group but it made it worse.
