Bust of a Woman

This piece of work was made by Pablo Picasso and the medium of
this work is oil paint on a canvas.
The colours that Picasso use are very bright and vibrant and I love the
purple in the background really sets the tone of the painting in my eyes.
The colour is organized with the background using straight and direct
lines to show the painting is serious but the face has wacky lines
celebrating the fact everyone isnt perfect.
In this art work I think this work is trying to tell, that the face is not
perfect, its not symmetrical. This is a very powerful thing to say, I think
this because nothing is symmetrical on this page- an example is the
eyes, they are completely different. This whole painting is exaggerated
and distorted to show how no part of the face is the same.
This makes me feel happy as I love the colours and I think this painting
has real meaning to it.
This painting affects me as it makes me think that life has more meaning
than materialist things and you need to look past things to live life-things
dont have to be perfect to be good.
