EVALUATING GROUP PRESENTATIONS: QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER

1. Content:
Did the group communicate an understandable amount of information about

the topic without overwhelming the audience with excessive detail?


No enough information provided in presentation
The information about the preparation on raw materials
Silent demonstration did not explain the steps go through
The sound of speakers monotone and unclear audiences and to understand what

the speakers mentioned


Did the group use a variety of supporting materials to develop their main

points?
Lack of using supporting materials to help audience for better understanding/ lack of

pictures or photos for every steps involved.


Slides (PowerPoint slide) for presentation
Other supporting materials like scissors, glue and camera.

Was the supporting material relevant?
Scissor help to cut and shaping
Staplers Help to combine or attach each segment of the craft or part together
Glue same function as staplers and provide extra holding
Camera help to record the presentation in video
Slides to show clearly the ideas we want to present

Did the group members appear conversant with and knowledgeable about the

subjects presented?
Yes The members of group are willing to learn and discover how to make

decoration by using AngPow


They discuss with full of enthusiasm and involved actively in practice

No. The time of the content or video after edited is short and not enough
The appropriate time or duration is above 20 minutes but our presentation overall

duration less than the expected duration


However, for the time to complete our task in this stage is quite satisfied. Our group
work hard-in-hand to finish our presentation according to the schedule of our
planning

2. Organization
Did the group have an effective plan for the whole presentation?
- The groups planning for the whole presentation is not very effective. Our planning
are not that smooth and have obstacles on our way

Obstacles like failure in rehearsal and someone cannot attend for work and so forth.

Those obstacles delay our planning.


Did the presentation have a clear introduction, body and conclusion?
Yes. The introduction, body and conclusion is quite dear.
The step ate stated in most clearly way just lacking in the illustrations for better

understanding.
The contents in bullet and short form. Easy to read and understand.
Did the presenters stick to their designated topic?
Yes. Every presenters had been divided according to their job. The leader already

assigned different obligations and topics to be done to each members.


Did each group member develop their part of the presentation in an orderly

fashion?
Yes, they did it in orderly fashion. The presenters knew their sequence to present.

We have taken several time of rehearsal on this.


Were transitions between sections and presenters effective?
No, it is ineffective because during our presentation, our sections are not divided
clearly and lack of transition between them. Presenters only followed exactly the
same texts on the slide.

Oral communication:
Did presenters speak from brief notes rather than from complete texts?
No, because the presenter just read from the text on slide.
Did presenters speak audibly and energetically?
No, the presenters speak monotonely and lack energertic.
Did presenters avoid physical and vocal distractions while speaking?
No, because the speaker distracted by his audience and he did not focus well in his

presentation.
Did the group try to be creative in their approach to the topic (by using visual

aids, demonstrations, simulations, etc)?


No, because the slide (PowerPoint Slide) made are uncreative and bored. The visual
aids also in common form and lack creativity. The slides color and design -bored /
not interesting.
Did the presenters speak in a clear voice that could easily be heard by
everyone in the audience?
No. Presenters speak in low voice and the pronunciation are not correct in some
terms. It will lead to misunderstanding from audience.

4. Non-verbal Communication:
Did the presenters develop eye contact with members of the audience?
- No. Presenters are only looking on slide and laptop rather than having eye contact

with audiences.
Hand and body movements are purposeful, not distracting.

Hand and body movements are lacking. The presenters only sat on the chair and did

not show any non-verbal communication during presentation.


Presenters do not read exclusively from note cards or visual aids.
No. Presenters did read directly from the visual aids, the slide. He or she did not

prepare well for the presentation and no idea on what to say.


Presenters face the audience while speaking.
No, because the speakers are only facing the laptop rather than looking / facing the

audience. From the beginning till the end of the presentation.


Grooming and appearances.
Grooming and appearances of presenters are bad. They did not wear formerly for
presentation. Hair styles not appropriate.

5. Group Coordination
The presentation was integrated; did not look like a sequence of unique

individual presentations.
No. There is lacking of connection or flow between the first presenter and following

presenter. Thus, it looks like an individual presentations.


Transitions between speakers were handled effectively; there was no in

decision or dead air.


Yes, but it is still assumed as less effective because in demonstration presentation,
the presenter did not mention the turn of the next presenter after he or she finished
his or turn. However, during presentation from MC, the flows are effective and there

was no dead air in between.


The presenters share ownershipone speaker does not dominate.
Yes, because every members have their own equally jobs or topics.
Presenters do not contradict each other or argue during the presentation.
Yes, presenters are lack of communication among them during the presentation.

However, there was no argument occurred.


Does the job delegation effective?
The job delegation among all presenters are effective. All the members tried their
own in doing or completing their parts.

6. Visual Aids:
Visual aids are constructed of sufficient size and are displayed so they can see

clearly by all members of the audience.


The size of the slide is large enough but the front size of the words inside the slide

are unclear. (Too small)


When appropriate graphics, animation and color are used effectively to
enhance the intended message.

No. The graphics and colors or graphics are ineffective in which the colors of the
words and backgrounds are not matched. Bad effect of colors and graphics.

Visual aids are relevant and are seamless incorporated into the presentation.
Yes. Because all the visual aids are about the components how to make decorations

by using AngPow. The photos and slides are not out of topic.
Does the presentation use common visual aids such as video, slides, flip-

The slides are not interesting because the colors and the design of frame are boring/

unattractive.

Yes. The presenters used video, slides to show more understanding information to

audience.
Help in attracting the attention from audience by sharing video to them.
More easy by following the steps in video, rather than read from the text on slide.
