C. In the technology, what must be learned section, I might ask a colleague that has done an assignment such
as this how to accommodate all my students. It would also be helpful to ask the school counselor or a teacher
who has dealt with a student with disabilities and what best suited them and accommodated them. Also,
maybe having a one on one with the students to see what helps them to learn and what would be the best
method of teaching them this particular assignment.
In the pedagogy what must be learned section, I must just learn how to communicate with the students.
Communication is such a key element in an assignment such as this. The students must know that they can
come to me with any questions, but also know that they need to do this assignment on their own. I must know
how to teach the students in a way that is easy for them to learn but yet effective at the same time.
In the content what must be learned section, I need to learn to express to students what all content needs
to be in this assignment. In order to learn how to do this, it would be a good idea to speak with a fellow
colleague on how to integrate clip art and visual aids. It would also be good to speak with the students as
well, to see what kind of visual aids they would be interested in doing, to express their paper into pictures and
not just words. Also, researching different topics and getting a few examples to be able to show them what is
needed to be done on this assignment.
D. The ideal classroom to teach this assignment in would be the schools computer lab. IT would be ideal for
every student to have their own computer, and be able to all work simultaneously, so if there were any
questions that arose, I could address them to the group as a whole so everyone could benefit from the
question, and not just the single student. It would also be nice to work in a computer lab because for those
students who couldnt work on it at home, it wouldnt put them behind, as it would if it were a take home
project.
