evengreaterwrongwiththerobotsofU.S.R.Inthemovie

Spooner,notonlysavesthecityofChicagofromaroboticrevolution,hechangesandallows
himselftotrustinrobotsagainthroughhisordinaryworldandstayingtruetoit,gettingthecall
totheadventure,andthetests,allies,andenemiesheencounters.
Theordinaryworldisthefirstknownpartoftheherosjourneyweseeinthefilm.Thisstageis
wherewefindthemaincharacterintheirspecialworld,andcomfortablehomelife.Thismovie
fulfilledthisstagebecauseinSpoonersordinaryworldheisusedtokeepingitoldschool
suchaswearingconverseallstarsfrom2004,usingstandardlocksonhisdoorsinhishouse,
usingvehiclesthatrunongasoline,whentherewasalternatefuelsources,andusingoldor
outdatedtechnology.ThisstagechangedSpoonerbecauseitaffectedhowhefeelsabout
robotsandhowhedoesnttrusthimmakehimtheonlypersontobelievethatarobotcould
commitacrime.

Thecalltoadventureisthenextpartoftheherosjourneythatweseeinthemove.Thisstage
iswhereweseetheproblem,challenge,adventure,goalbepresentedtothehero.Thismovie
fulfilledthisstagebecauseSpoonergetsthecalltoadventurewhenherecentlyreturnsto
workasahomicidedetective,andhegetsacallfromtheU.S.R.ThisstagechangedSpooner
becauseitchangedhismindsetfromDr.Lanning'sdeathwasnotasuicide,butmurder.

Tests,Allies,andEnemiesisthenextpartoftheherosjourney.Thisstageiswherethehero
meetshisenemies,alliesinthejourney,andtheteststhattheherofacestogethimreadyfor
thefinalbattle.Thismoviefulfilledthisstagebecausetherewereobviousenemies,allies,and
teststhatSpoonerfaced.SomealliesthatwereinthismoviewereDr.SusanCalvin,Sonny,
Dr.Lanningshologram,andLt.JohnBergin.Thesepeoplewerealliesbecausetheywere
alwaystryingtohelpSpooneronhisjourney.SomeenemieswereVIKI,andtheNS5sthat
werebeingcontrolledbyher.Theseareenemiesinthemoviebecausetheywerealways
tryingtostopSpoonerfromcompletinghisjourney.SometeststhatSpoonerhadtocomplete
togethimreadyforhissupremeordealweresolvingthecaseofDr.Lanningsdeath,
escapingfromDr.Lanningshousethatwasbeingtorndownwithhiminit,andfightingthe
U.S.Rrobotsinthetunnel.ThismoviefulfilledthisstagebecauseitshowswhoSpooners
friendsandenemieswillbe.Italsomakesitclearwhenthereisaproblem,thatsnotthe
supremeordeal,thatistryingtothrowoffSpoonerfromhisjourney.

AttheendofthemovietheSpoonerhaschangedfromapersonwhosawthedownfallin
usingrobotstolearningtolivewiththeirkind,andtrustthattheycouldmakedecisionsmore
thanthelogicalchoice.ThejourneythatSpoonerwentthroughalsochangedourperspective
onthestoryandthecharacters.ForexamplewebelieveSpoonerhateshowrelevantrobots
havebecomeineverydaylife,anditwasntkeepingitoldschool.Yetwesoonfindoutthat
whenhesinvolvedinacarcrash.henhiscarwasdrowningandanrobotmakesalogical
choiceinsavinghimoverthe12yearoldnamedSarahwhowasintheothercar.Thisalso
changesourperspectiveonthestorywhenwebelievethatSpooneriscrazythathebelieves
thatrobotscancommitcrimes,andwhenitturnsoutthatitspossibleitchangesfromthis
guyisinsanetohewasrightallalong,yetnoonebelieveshim.
