Brief Description of Evidence:

Throughout my semesters at Ivy Tech Community College I have received many certificates for
trainings and I have also received my technical certificate in Early Childhood Education. During each training I
had to either take online classes or attend face to face classes to receive each certificate. My technical certificate
I received for attending the college and receiving a certain amount of credit hours.

Analysis of What I Learned:

Through the completion of receiving these certificates I was able to prepare myself for the early
childhood field. I learned new and exciting teaching techniques, proper safe sleep and universal precaution
training, and other ways to become a professional. After completing these different trainings it has helped me
become a more rounded individual and pushes me to continue to learn more every day.

How This Artifact Demonstrates my Competence on the NAEYC

Standard:
Completing these various trainings and receiving certificates has prepared me to become an early
childhood professional and helped me identify and conduct myself as a member of the field. I now know how to
use ethical guidelines and standards related to the early childhood practice. As I grow in the profession I will
continuously collaborate with my peers, learners, and educators, who demonstrate knowledgeable, reflective,
and critical perspectives on their work. These relationships will lead to me being able to make informed
decisions that integrate my knowledge from a variety of sources, practices, and policies.
