Pressure vessel manufacturing standards

EN 13445
-harmonized standard, fulfills the requirements of the PED
ASME Section VIII, Div.1
-can be used as the design code.
1. Material must be purchased following a Particular Material
Appraisal (PMA).
2. Material manufacturer must be certified per PED.
3. Welding procedures and welder must be certified per EN
standards.
AD 2000 Code
-can be used as the design code. Advantage is the longer
periodic inspection cycle compared to using the ASME code.
