Dear Families,
Hi, my name is Miss Smith and I am ecstatic to be student teaching
in your childs classroom for the next few months. Given that I will
be in the classroom with your child every day until May, I thought I
would tell you a little background about myself.
I am a senior at Rowan University majoring in Elementary Education
and specializing in Middle School Social Studies. I have had some
previous teaching experiences in my past field placements in 2nd and
4th grade. I also work in two elementary schools in Mount Laurel
where I work in the Extended Day Care Program and am a camp
counselor in the summer. In my free time I enjoy drawing, painting,
and spending time with friends and family.
I have wanted to become a teacher since I was in 1st grade when I
had the most amazing and influential teacher. I am excited to be
working with your children, because I can already tell that they are
an amazing group of students. I know that this will be a time full of
learning, not only for the students, but for me as well!
