Distance(in)

We chose the size of the assay strip so that it was suitable to the absorbent pad.

Dimension for assay strip

Chemical
reaction time
Flow rate of the
liquid
The
concentration
Binding
efficiency

We need the
control line to
make sure the
test is complete,
but in our case
we dont need
the control line
due to some
resource
limitations.

The size of the assay strip does not affect the flow of the liquid. We just pick the dimensions so that it
is suitable to the absorbent pad.

Acquisition
We took pictures of the nitrocellulose paper with different concentrations

Each strip shows a different variation of Green

Calibration

Blue channel data

showed best distribution

more accurate results

Conclusion
Complete
process
time

Less than 20
minutes

Limitation
of the
design

The nitrocellulose
is too dense so it
makes the liquid
take a lot of time
to get through

Improve
product

Pick different
types of
nitrocellulose to
make the process
fast

Every test strip can be used only once
