The Great Paper Roller Coaster

Challenge
Introduction:
A local amusement park has issued a challenge to roller coaster designers to
determine who should build their next roller coaster. Youll need to prove
that you can make an exciting roller coaster that meets their requirements.
Earning bonus points can give you an extra advantage.
Equipment Needed:
-Coaster Templates on index paper
-Masking Tape
-Marble
***Students supply any extra wanted materials***
Criteria:
Your paper roller coaster must meet all of the following requirements.

Maximum Height 150 cm (1.5 meters)

Maximum Length 150 cm (1.5 meters)
Maximum Width 40 cm (0.4 meters)
Must be built in sections and be able to be assembled in five
(5) minutes

Required Elements: For a total of 10 points

1 Loop
3 Hills
6 Turns
3 Successful Time Trials (failure to complete any time trials results in
disqualification)
