Agency Mission

The Person County Department of Social

Services exists to alleviate emotional and
economic distress among the people of
the County. Through the delivery and
restorative programs, the agencys staff
seeks to assist and to protect the
vulnerable: children, adults, the blind, the
disabled, and the sick.

Core Values & Ethics

To provide resources whether they be

material, emotional, or guidance to
enable and empower families to hope, to
set goals, and to attain self sufficient,
nurturing, and satisfying lives for all
members regardless of their age.

Need & Future Direction

The Fiscal Year 2013-2014 shows and

increasing demand for vital services.
The agency is looking forward to serving
the residents of the community as they
continue the mission to alleviate
emotional and economic stress.
