National Wildlife Federation
The National Wildlife Federation is an activist organization
dedicated to protecting wildlife, animals and their habitats. The
organization aims to inspire future generations to practice conservation
and preservation of natural ecosystems, fostering an appreciation for
wildlife among children and adults. The goal of their work is to protect
the environment so future generations may enjoy it as well. NWF
unites individuals, businesses, and organizations that share a passion
for environmental sustainability and animal habitat protection.
Across the U.S. diminishing land and wildlife habitats leave
animals in danger and pose a threat to global warming. NWF works to

protect the most vulnerable ecosystems and animals at risk. In recent

years the NWF has helped in saved the

grizzly bear, the Florida panther, the gray wolf and wild salmon from
becoming extinct. The NWF works to strengthen and defend the
Endangered Species Act, which provides legal safety to prevent the
loss of plant and animal species.
The NWF has offices across the U.S., with headquarters in
Reston, VA, a National Advocacy Center in Washington D.C., and seven
regional centers. The NWF also works with state and local lead
nonprofit environmental organizations across all fifty states.
