Volkswagen to present its India chapter at Hannover Messe 2015;

Made in India products to be a part of the Volkswagen exhibits

India by showcasing Made in India Volkswagen Vento and 1.5-litre

through a special booth at the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce
(IGCC) exhibit

Thursday, 9th April 2015: The 2015 edition of Hannover Messe, the leading industry fair
in the world, has associated with India as its official Partner Country. Volkswagen
India will showcase as a part of the Volkswagen exhibits its products and activities in
line with the theme Make in India at this German industry fair which will be held from
13th to 17th April 2015 in Hannover, Germany.
German engineering made by Volkswagen in India has been widely accepted throughout
the world. The cars produced by Volkswagen Pune Plant in India are being exported to over
32 countries across three continents of Asia, Africa and North America. Volkswagen India
will now showcase one of these products, the Volkswagen Vento which is a widely accepted
car in the domestic as well as export markets, at the Hannover Messe 2015. This would be a
further support towards the Make in India campaign initiated by the Government of India.
Besides the Volkswagen Vento, a 1.5-litre TDI engine assembled at the recently inaugurated
Volkswagen Engine Assembly Plant in Chakan would also be showcased at the Volkswagen
Pavilion. In addition to the products, Volkswagen India would also present its educational
programme the Mechatronics Apprenticeship Programme during the inauguration of the
fair with two apprentices and one trainer from the Volkswagen Academy in India.

The Volkswagen India showcase will be a part of the bigger exhibition from Volkswagen,
which would show the digitalisation of production and product. The highlights from
Volkswagen would be exhibits of 3D visualisation and human-robot co-operation in
assembly, new generations of infotainment and assistance systems and the world premiere
of the eco-friendly Caddy 99g CO2/km as well as the German premiere of the new Touran.
Further, Volkswagen India would extend its presence at the Hannover Messe 2015 through
a stall that will show the Volkswagen Group India operations. This exhibit will be a part of
the IGCC pavilion that would showcase leading successful German companies operating in
India.
The Volkswagen India products will be put up in Hall 15 Stand A04 at the Volkswagen
Pavilion and the Volkswagen India booth will be in Hall 16 at Stand D28.
