Jack Stone Dellinger


1920 - 2007

Jack Stone Dellinger was born November 24, 1920 in Stafford, KS and went home
to be with his Lord and Savior December 9, 2007 here in Bakersfield, CA. He was
87.

Jack is survived by his wife, Joanne; daughter, Victoria Grispino; son, Mark; son,
Dell (Sarah); stepsons, Mike Roberts (Yvonne), Douglas Roberts, Scot Roberts
(Rae); stepdaughter, Linda Johnson (Rick); sisters, Mary Haggerty and Patricia
Merritt and he will be missed by his 9 grandchildren, Jenifer, Joseph, Nate, Matt,
Ryan, Erika, Kayla, Cyan and Jessica.

Jack grew up in the Whittier area and he graduated from Whittier High School.

During WWII, he served in the U.S. Army as a part of the 759th Railway Battalion.

He later earned an AA degree from Orange Coast College.

After working for Southern Pacific, Jack worked 33 years for GTE and retired in
1982.

In 1988 Jack and Joanne moved to Bakersfield where they have resided for the past
20 years. For the last seven years Jack and Joanne have worked locally at Derrel's
Mini Storage.

A celebration of Jack's life will be held this Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 3:00
p.m. at Northeast Christian Church (4201 University Ave., phone #871-5061).

In lieu of flowers, Jack's family asks that donations in Jack's honor be made to
Northeast Christian Church. A reception will follow.
