Lysozyme Questions

1. The chemical compound group that Lysozymes belong to is enzymes.


2. Lysozymes(enzymes) are composed of monomers called amino acids
3. The role of the active side cleft is to help catalyze the material it is
trying to break down.
4. I think lysozymes are found in the saliva and tears because these areas
are places where your body can be infected from, lysozymes are there
to break down bacteria.
5. You can find out by testing the different salivas and tears with the
bacteria to see which reduce the yellow color the most, the ones that
are more yellow have less concentration and vice versa.
6. Enzymes can be effective in small amounts by breaking things down at
a manageable rate for the body to handle.
