F - 1575480 Alfidavit’s belief is based upon the following facts and information which Affiant received from: X__Affiants personal investigation of this alleged offense _ fellow peace officer ofthe City of Dallas, Dallas County, Texas, who personally participated in the investigation of this alleged offense, providing this information to Affiant, and whose information Affiant believes to be credible On April 14, 2015, at about 9:37 pm, the suspect, Daniel James Olsen, W/M/06-20-1990, committed the offense of murder when he shot and killed the complainant, Ryan Paul Wurst W/M/05-13-1984 while he was seated in his car. The complainant died at the scene as a result of his injuries. This offense occurred at 307 W. Millett Drive Dallas, Dallas County, Texas. ‘The facts of this investigation are as follows: Dallas Police Officers responded to a shooting call at the offense location. When the officers arrived they discovered a white colored 2013 Dodge Avenger Texas license FLLS198 in the ditch on the south side of the road. When the officers approached they could hear a woman crying out that she had been shot and that she needed help. As the officers got closer to the car they realized the driver had also been shot, he was later identified as the complainant Ryan Wurst. The officers attempted to assist him by removing him from the car and placing him on the ground. The complainant suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body and died at the scene. As the officers tried to help the female victim, she yelled to them that she knew who the shooter was. This witness repeatedly said it was “Daniel James Olsen”. The female victim was transported to Methodist Central Hospital in stable condition. Detectives went to the hospital and interviewed this witness. Witness Brittany Stommel told detectives that the offense location is a drug house and that she and the complainant went there so the complainant could buy drugs. She reported when the complainant came out of the house and walked to their car, the suspect followed him. She told detectives the complainant got inside and started the vehicle and was about to drive away when Suspect Daniel Olsen held the driver's side door open and pulled out a gun and began shooting inside the car. Witness Stommel said she has been a childhood friend of the suspect and knew his name and date of birth, She was shown a Texas DL photograph to confirm his identity. Af 9 4 He 35.
