I am interested in applying for the position of production welder at Caterpillar Inc. I
learned about this opportunity from Mrs. Brocklehurst, the Student Service
Coordinator at Eaton REAS Career Preparation Center. I believe that my skills in gas
welding, shielded metal arc welding, and gas metal arc welding at personal traits
make me an excellent candidate for this position.
As you will see on my enclosed resume, I completed the welding technology class at
the ERESA CAREER Preparation Center during my junior year of high school. As a
part of the class I was exposed to several areas within the welding field where I
learned a variety of tasks related to welding technology, service and maintenance.
This experience has given me the confidence that a career in the field of welding
technology is the right one for me. I participate in High school football and track I
am very motivated and plan to continue my education at Lansing Community
College.
