What does this

mean?
Peer pressure is the influence
that peers have on an
individual. Most people
believe that when children hit
adolescence all the teens will
listen only to their peers.
However this is not the case.
Teens do spend a lot of time
away from the family but the
parents still have a major
effect on the teen and their
faith. The church is the main
teacher of the faith however
the parents have the most
effect on the teen. Most peer
pressure is against faith in
teens, however the positive
effect that the parents have
helps faith in teens stay and
grow.

How Youth Groups Get Involved

Invite parents to some

events, and work with
them, not against them
Become a positive
influence with mentoring

Involve teens in running

church events, and
incorporate them into the
service

Show dedication to the

teens through volunteers
and leadership
