GOVERNMENT EXPLANATION
This seven inch tall artifact shows a man that has a
beard that is short and tidy, his hair tied up in a
band, and a patterned robe hanging over his left
shoulder. Also, he has calm and noble expression.
This represents government because many think
that he couldve been a king or a priest.

RELIGION EXPLANATION
This is a picture of the Great Bath. The Great Bath
was a pool built with waterproof bricks that was 39
ft. long and 8 ft. deep. It was clear that the people
used the pool to bathe but, some archaeologists
think the Great Bath was used for religious purposes
because bathing rituals are important in Hinduism.

The scale and weights are examples of a stable food
supply because it was found near a granary, a place
to store grain. They mightve weighed the grain and
used different amounts to trade for various goods.
The grains may have been crushed into flour and
used for trading with other cities.

ART EXPLANATION

This necklace is made of stone bead in different


shapes and sizes. This represents art because this
necklace can be used to express your feelings or
the necklace is used as a decorative item. Indian
bead makers made beads of clay and baked them
over hot oven called kilns.

WRITING EXPLANATION
These seals are carved into pictographs or pictures
to represent objects, ideas, or sounds. They show a
characteristic of civilization because they could be
letters and symbols in the Mohenjo-Daros peoples
language. 400 pictographs have been discovered
but, archaeologists dont know what they stand for.
