The Students when they're feeling upset or happy to rate themselves based on the chart this helps the teacher give themselves a better understanding feeling, My Feelings chart of how the children are- ‘This picture to the rights a little small room in Mr. Tonys room. Ifthe kids are not behaving or getting upset they send them to this room and make them sitin there tll they calm down. This room is actually helpful tothe students, Itis more like a relaxation room that helps the children calm down In this photo, one of the students and I are building a house. Phey are Jogs and the students really enjoy building large things and knocking them over. I loved playing with these with them because they are so creative and build the most interesting houses with these logs The children usually come to this comer in Mrs. Thompson's class when they are angry or need to get away, they usually come to sleep when they aren't feeling good or they don't Want to communicate with angone.Volunteer work because I feel more comfortable talking to the students. I feel like the Students, teachers, and I have bonded so much and getting to know them was amazing. 1 did gather valuable skills and tools from my experience with these children that will be beneficial to my career in the future. | want to work with children in the future and Setting to experience this has made me realize that children do need care and they do need to be loved. ‘This project has changed me from the inside out. While serving the community and helping children and getting to understand them more, ithas made mea better Person. I absolutely loved serving at Orchard Elementary and will continue to go there every other Friday. | fell in love with the students and positive atmosphere that was there. Even though the children there do have bad and good days I will continue to look at them ina positive way. I have learned that children do need to be loved on and they need patience.
