Linguistic/Verbal
1. The Hunger Games is a narrative in the point of view of Katniss Everdeen. Write 2 diary entries
for Peeta Mellark. The entries must consist of 2 crucial events for Peeta and be descriptive; for
example, The Reaping. Write at least 2 pages for each entry.
2. The Hunger Games is made up of many conflicts and solutions. Choose three major conflicts in
the story and provide the solutions. Write 3-5 pages.
Logical/Mathematical
1. Draw a detailed map of significant places in the Arena of The Hunger Games. There should be at
least 4 places and explain why each place is significant. 3-5 pages.
2. Make a crossword puzzle using people, places, and ideas from the book. There should be at
least 20 entries with clues.
Spatial/Visual
1.

Create a mini-comic book relating to the start of the Hunger Games at the Cornucopia.

Must have 3 comic pages and a 1 page description of scene.

The Hunger Games also has a movie based upon the book. Compare and contrast the movie
and the book. Compare 3 parts and contrast 3 parts. Write 3-5 pages.

1. Record a 45 second commercial advertising The Hunger Games. How would you promote this
book? Write at least a 1 page description explaining the commercial.
2. Write 2 poems that relate to The Hunger Games. Write at least a 1 page explanation for each
poem.

1. Write and perform a song that tells the story of the book. Provide the lyrics to the song and
write at least 1 page explaining the song.
2. Choose three passages in the book and select a piece of music that represents the mood of each
passage. Write at least a 1 page explanation for each piece of music relating it to the scene.

1. Create a list of 5 detailed discussion questions. You will lead a classroom discussion. The
questions have to be specific and you must type the detailed answers to each question.
2. Form an alliance. Suppose you are in The Hunger Games. Which players would you be in
alliance with? Write 3-5 pages on why you would make an alliance with them.
