Conclusion

In this project, the operation of the crude oil transfer pumps of SOGT Company
had been reviewed. From the collected data, the failure rate of pumps and mean
time between failures are calculated in chapter 4. Based on the calculated
results, pump P804 has the highest cumulative running hours which means it has
a higher reliability as well as the failure rate of pump P804 is lower than pump
P802 and pump P803 as shown in Figure 4.7. Besides that, the period of
maintenance the can be speculated from the calculated results. Since pump
P804 has the lower standard deviation than pump P802 and pump P803 as
shown in table 4.3, the period of maintenance for pumps P804 is longer than
pump P802 and pump P803.
