We have new information today about the resources teachers
are using in classrooms across the country, and its not looking good for proponents of traditional textbooks. A new study from market intelligence companies Simba Information and Education Market Research found that teachers in k-through-12 schools in the U-S now use digital instructional materials more than print materials in the classroom. According to the study, the market for digital resources is growing faster than the grade school market, causing publishing companies to create more digital content to keep up. More than 80 percent of the publishers and manufacturers surveyed in the study reported delivering their products online. Print, in contrast, was cited as a delivery method about 65 percent of the time. ##
