Choice of Costume; Charlie

For our thriller, we put a lot of thought into the costumes of each character.
For Charlie, we specifically chose a white shirt to represent his innocence
and virtue in the film. The fact he is smartly dress also implies that he
has a decent job and is potentially of a high social standing. For
example, a coalminer wouldnt be walking home from work in a shirt,
trousers and smart shoes. We was going to get Charlie to wear black
trousers however we decided to pick navy as we felt that the black
would give off the wrong impression of evilness etc. Whereas navy blue
has
connotations such as stability and intelligence, which then puts
meaning
behind why Daisy has fallen in love with him. Charlie is also
wearing
brown shoes in the film. The colour brown (especially light
shades) is
known to represent sensitivity, friendliness and genuineness.
Our specific use of certain colours shows the audience why Daisy is so in love
with him and why she longs to be with him, regardless of what it takes.
