1. I divided my project up by having the main things I learned in the media

piece and focused on the type of literacy and what it meant to me in my
written piece. The media piece was simpler, but the work Im doing is simple.
Its main focus is to show what I do at the dog shelter. I feel that my written
piece really showed how the work Im doing meant to me and how anyone
could find it beneficial and I feel like that information is more valuable for
anyone looking at this project so that should be taken into account for
grading.
2. I want you to consider that Im very involved in all the work. I go to the
shelter every Friday since the end of January and stay for two and a half
hours. The project may not be extravagant but what I do there is important.
Volunteering at an animal shelter gives them a lot of extra help that they
need.
3. I want you to weigh most the written piece as it describes how much the work
means to me rather than the prezi that just teaches you what I do there
4. If I had more time I would like to make the media piece nicer. Maybe
interview Mike Sims, the shelter manager, on video and have him talk about
volunteering and how much the shelter relies on extra help.

5. I think this work deserves an A. I take the time every week to go to the
shelter, I have far exceeded the twelve hours and I enjoy doing the work
when I go there. Im very passionate about dogs and my project shows my
dedication to them. My written piece goes into detail about and touches upon
most of the bullet points listed in the syllabus.
