Beach time
Weather permitting,
there are a variety of
outdoor activities that
teachers can choose
for their groups, such as
swimming, canoeing, hiking
and nature walks. All activities
are supervised by center staff
members. The goal is to show kids
how much fun the Great Lakes
and the surrounding areas can be
for both youngsters and adults.
We hope to instill in them a love
of this unique ecosystem and to
motivate them to take good care
of it, both for themselves and for
future generations.
Note:
Classes can be split into two or three
groups for outdoor activities, depending
on students interests and physical
abilities. The minimum number of
students needed for an outdoor activity
is 5 and the maximum is 25. Classes
of more than 25 will be split into two or
more groups.
