Summary of Implementation:
In my future classroom I would like to incorporate the reading websites in different ways.
The Abrams Learning Trend site would be a resource for me to gather items such as worksheets,
books, and guided questions. I would use the worksheets during small groups, teacher-directed
groups, and independent work after reading a book. The site Into the Book would be used during
center time or during the students computer lab time. Students will select an activity that could
be incorporated with one of their current readings. This could also be used during any free time
the students may have. We Give Books would be incorporated into the classroom in a similar
way as the FreeRice site. If there are computers in the classroom this site would be used during
center/computer time. It would also act as a classroom competition where the students can work
in teams to see how many books each team can read/listen in a week. Because this site donates
books to charities worldwide it would be a great tool to use for when students will be having an
indoor recess or free time. Storynory would be a site that students would use independently or
even at home if computers are available. This site could be used in conjunction with writing
activities. Depending on the number of computers available during computer lab, students can
be assigned a book and then complete a writing assignment on it in the classroom.

Ixl and Game Classroom will be resources that I will use to find worksheets, lessons, or
activity ideas to use during math sessions. Students can complete the worksheets independently
after the completion of a lesson. Fun4thebrain, Multiplication, and ixl will be used by the
students in a supplemental way to practice their math skills. These sites can be accessed during
center time and computer lab. If computers are available in the classroom I would like to
establish a schedule for computer center time that allows each student to have a turn at some
point during the week. Each week will also be designated to a certain website, subject, or
activity that they can participate in during their computer time. These websites can also be used
for any free time students may have and as a reinforcement for students who may be
participating in small group instruction. These would be fun tools to use after the instruction
instead of using a worksheet for practice.
I would combine the content sites and webquests for students to utilize together. K-5
Geosource and Science Buddies will be used as a resource for the development of science
lessons. These sites can be used along with the webquests because they provide specific
processes for a specific lesson which will be done with the entire class. The webquests will be
used simultaneously with the lesson plan. The What Did I Learn? webquest will allow students
to select any topic that has been covered throughout the year and provides specific instructions
on the process of topic development through actual presentation. The Kid Sites and PBS Kids
sites will be incorporated with the science lessons. These sites will be used during center time,
computer lab, and free time on a daily or weekly basis. Students will be allowed to select an
activity from a specific site that can be connected to the current topic being taught. After
instruction of the lesson, these sites can be used as rewards or for those students who may need
additional assistance on a certain topic if there is a game that can coincide with the lesson.
The presentation tools will be used on a daily or weekly basis when possible. Kizoa is an
interesting site that could incorporate photos and present them as a slideshow or video. As a
teacher I would like to use photos from places Ive been or things Ive seen and incorporate them
into a lesson. This could also be used as a preview for a lesson or possible field trip and be
tailored specifically to the class. The PowToon site can be used for any subject and I would
prefer to use it on more of a weekly basis rather than daily. It can be very engaging with the
animation but it may get overwhelming if used too often. I would like to incorporate Popplet for
student use and not just a teaching tool. Students can use this site after reading a book or
learning a specific topic and develop their own presentation to demonstrate what they have
learned. This will also be used after small group work instead of worksheets. Groups will come
together to discuss a topic and then complete their popplet individually.
