Spring, spring is coming soon,


Grass is green, and flowers bloom,
Birds returning from the south,
Bees are buzzing all about,
Leaves are budding everywhere,
Spring, spring is finally here!

In Math: we will continue chapter 10 Division of large numbers. Please review


math strategies with your child and have them practice using the traditional
algorithm for long division. Here is an example:

In French:
Writing: We will continue to work on
writing persuasive letters using the
proper structure (introduction, body
three arguments, conclusion)
Reading comprehension: Students
will continue working on EQAO style
reading passages and questions
with a focus on achievement levels
(1 to 4 based on student exemplars.

In English:
Writing: We are finishing up our news
reports.
Reading comprehension: We are
learning to make connections and
identify the authors message.
We will continue to read and discuss
current events that are happening in
Canada and around the world.

Reminders:

Catholic education week Parents will be invited to our grade 4 class to learn
about the learning that has been occurring in the classroom. Students will
present the work to the parents, describing the learning goal and success
criteria for each project or assignment. The date will be announced soon and
we hope you can all attend!
