I am writing to you about my interest in joining the Navy, you currently have positions available to
work as an Operation Specialist. I feel that I am qualified for this position through both experience
and past involvement in my Computer Basics class as well as my Computer Graphics course. If
selected for this position I could contribute to the continued success of the United States Navy.
I am currently enrolled in a Computer Technology course at Merced High School; in this course I have
learned all of the basics to a computer and became proficient in all Microsoft programs. I understand
that to be successful as a Operation Specialist you must have communication skills along with the
ability to take charge. If you are looking for someone who is willing to work hard and diligently and is
willing to try new things, I am that someone.
As a 4-year member of Future Farmers of America (FFA), I have learned a great amount of
responsibility as well as being trustworthy, honest and a hard worker. I have obtained these qualities
through my Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) projects 2 years in raising and marketing a Lamb
and 1 year in raising a Market Hog for the Merced County Fair. I have also learned the importance of
time management, communication skills and the ability to get along with all personalities through my
current occupation as an Official Referee. I am also a past member of AG leadership team where I
have learned to take charge and to make things happen. I have served as a committee member where
we organized and brought together activities for over 350 FFA members.
As an employee of yours I would guarantee dedication and diligence in my everyday work. It would be
an honor to serve the United States Navy.
