Dear Madam or Sir,

I am writing this letter to recommend Sarah Sheerin for a teaching position. I am
currently Sarahs Supervising Teacher from Drake University.
There are many reasons why I believe Sarah would be an asset to your teaching staff. She
demonstrates excellent leadership skills in the classroom. She is well organized and paces
lessons appropriately. While she shows a calm and professional demeanor, she also
motivates and communicates well with students. She appears to be very comfortable with
students and they respond well to her directions and suggestions.
I have observed Sarah in both an Economics and Business classroom at Ankeny
Centennial High School. I have been impressed with the detailed lesson plans and
innovative strategies Sarah is currently implementing with her students. She is a very
reflective teacher in that she continually examines her teaching practices in order to help
students learn.
